Hiring and Recruitment Event
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is hosting a one-stop-shop hiring and recruitment event at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center on Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20. We are accepting pre-registration for the event now. Those who pre-register might be eligible to complete mandatory pre-hire steps to speed up the process, such as the Nelson-Denny Reading Test, the Physical Agility Test (PAT), a polygraph, and an interview board with Sheriff's Office employees. There will also be static displays from the many Sheriff's Office specialized units in the parking lot of the Detention Center so interested applicants can learn more about the opportunities available.
Filling out this form is the first of three steps that you MUST follow to speed up the process on Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20. The second step is to fill out an application with the Sheriff's Office for a Deputy Sheriff or Detention Deputy. The third and final step is to show up on Friday, July 19, between 4 and 7 p.m. or Saturday, July 20, between 9 a.m. and noon.
